Take This

A friend sent me this.

She drew it herself on a small piece of paper. It’s a simple character holding out a flower, with the words, take this.

We’ve been talking on Instagram for a while. She’s in England, and thank goodness for technology, I still get to keep my friend despite the distance.

She told me it was a thank you for being there for her and for cheering her up when she wasn’t feeling okay.

I was just being her friend.

Around the same time, a new idea came to mind. An idea from her drawing. A story I wasn’t planning, but now I keep thinking about it.
