The PLETS Framework v1.0: Permanent Licensing and Exclusive Territorial Stewardship
Available worldwide on Amazon
Many meaningful projects rely on conditions that are not designed to last.
They are often shaped by funding cycles, attention, or the continued presence of the person who created them. When those conditions change, continuity becomes difficult to maintain.
I wrote The PLETS Framework v1.0 to address that.
PLETS stands for Permanent Licensing and Exclusive Territorial Stewardship.
It is a structure where a work is entrusted to one organization per territory, with the responsibility to carry it forward over time. The role of the creator is defined at the beginning, rather than extended indefinitely.
The goal is not expansion.
It is continuity.
Under this model:
- stewardship is local and long-term
- responsibility does not shift between entities
- financial activity remains within the territory
- the work continues without needing to be revived
I first applied this through Bella Impact, where the framework supports the long-term use of a children’s book across different regions.
This is not presented as a theory.
It is a structure that can be used, tested, and adapted.
